Is it me or are region 2 dvds getting better and better picture wise? just watched Planet ofThe Apes and it looks superb. Other recent discs such as Moulin rouge and JP 3 also look stunning. It only seems right to praise these companies for producing such high quality discs, especially when some companies are rushing out titles with little regard for what matters to true home cinema enthusiasts (picture and Sound).

True home cinema enthusiasts make up a tiny proportion of DVD buyers as most people have their DVD players connected directly to the TV or watch on their PC so extra expense to satisfy a minority is unlikely to be on their list of priorities.
