trading standars have forced uk r1 dvd supplier interdvd to close

    looks like in future it may be impossible to get uk sourced r1 material and i dont know if in future it will be harder to import r1 dvds direct form the states yourself

    "HM Customs are now readily seizing and destroying unclassified DVDs at the point of entry to the coutry." I don't think so, there is no issue with HM customs WRT import of DVDs without classification provided that they are not "obscene". The law is quite clear that it is distributing unclassified material that is the problem. This has been known for many years and certainly was not a "grey area".

    The goverment (DTI) made it clear in the summer that they had no issue over individuals importing of foreign DVDs (as long as they comply to the decency criteria) nor do they care about multi region DVD players.

    Just keep ordering from CD-WOW, Play or however, it will be fine

    Presumably it's this issue that PictureParadise for example forward orders on to the US for processing for DVDs that haven't been classified.
