    Hello,

I am thinking of trading my premium 360 for an Elite from Game.

I have the box and all the packaging but i have thrown the original headset out.....has anyone traded in their console?

Are they looking for everything that came with the console?

Surely a used headset could be seen as unhygenic?

    I wouldn't use a used headset!

    Thanks for any reply!

I think you'll be OK. They might deduct the cost of a headset but it won't be an official Microsoft one. They'd deduct the price of their own brand one.

At least that's what happened when I traded in my DS without it's power adapter. They just knocked off £7.99 to replace it.

Tradeed my premium for an elite this weekend...

If you go to Game they will take the headset out of the elite and put it with your premium, if you go to Gamestation they will deduct money from the trade in.

Id go to Gamesstation they are offering £160 trade in and the elite is 299+ free blue dragon (which you can trade for cash at about £20 at the mo), plus they are cool about letting you keep the HDD and trade it later once you transfered saves and stuff

Where as Game is only £140 trade in and the same bundle is £309, and they wont let you keep your HDD for transferring data, its all or nothing with them.

Game told me they don't want the used headset and no deduction of the £140or mention of swapping the elite headset...don't know about Gamestation.

Those that have traded in ....what do they look at and test on your 360 trade in?

Game said they do an electrical test....what exactly does that entail?

why would you want to trade your premium in for an elite when it costs you another 150 or so quid?? seems crazy to me do you reallly need a bigger hard drive?

I personally would wait for the new premium to come out which will have the new hardware inside

I traded in my premium in at game station with out my headset and they never asked for it. But they did take my component cable out the Elite box because i forgot to take it with me:rolleyes:

I and i never had my box either. Still got the full £160 trade in plus £51 for a few crappy old games.

I took the £299 deal with blue dragon and traded it straight back for £30. Therefore only paying £59 for my brand spanking Elite:thumbsup:

at Gamestation you have the option of putting £20 to the Eliteand getting ANY game, you can then trade that game in for £30. An easy way of getting a tenner...

Yes but the premium does'nt come with the new harddrive, hdmi lead, convertor dongle so you can get digital audio via fibre optics etc. So it makes more sense to trade in a premium now while the value has'nt plumeted with some old games etc and effectively spend £60 for an elite as opposed to 100 quid or whatever it is for the bigger drive and then later buy a premium with hdmi for almost as much as the elite and then fork out extra for the leads. Of course if saving money does'nt apeal......

The elite has the new cooling system fitted to rectify the lights of doom.
