It's been 10 YEARS?!?!?! I feel so old :thumbsdow

I wasn't expecting to see this until the inevitable "Toy Story Trilogy" box set. At least we can own a decent copy of this now without the Pixar-less (i.e. soulless) Disney sequel

Here's hoping we don't have to wait till 2009 for a Toy Story 2 re-release :lease:

This will definitely be on my list!

Until I saw The Incredibles, this was my fave kids CG movie.

I think you'll find the sequel was in fact made by Pixar with the same writer and director as the first movie. It's far from "Pixar-less" - where did you get that idea from?

As for "soulless", i'm wondering have you actually watched this film? Toy Story 2 is one of the very few sequels that equals or betters its original.

Disney and Pixar went their separate ways after The Incredibles but Disney retain the rights to the characters in all the Pixar films that they distributed.

Disney have announced that they will make Toy Story 3 without Pixar. I'm expecting it to be money making drivel.

disney and pixar still have another film to release in 2006, but thats when the distribution deal ends. It would be a shame to see disney balls up the toy story franchise, and also, how would they animate it?

I steadfastly refuse to watch any Toy Story movie not done by Pixar, any such movie would simply not be Toy Story. I urge others to do the same as it's the only way to discourage Disney for creating endless sequels to Pixar's creations. Thank god Tom Hanks has stated he will never voice Woody in something not created by Pixar, lets hope the Disney Dollar is not more persuasive than his loyalty to Pixar.

There is no way it has been 10 years already. They must also be counting the years it was in production or something.

Just to let you know, Pixar and Disney could possibly be in talks again (Pixar is of cos talking to others as well) later on, now Pixar is checking out the new CEO.

interesting reading, Pixar get merchandising heaven with disney, all the disney stores hype the hell out of the films and sell all the toys so its good for them that way, i hope that they get back together.

It is the last film, yes. I wonder what pixar will do on their own, and what disney will do as i dont beleive that they have that many big blockbusters without the pixar films in recent times.
