touch screen prob

    hi the touch screen on my sons DS lite takes about 3-4 mins to start working from when it's first turned on is this normal ?:cool:

    The DS was bought in USA at Christmas as a present how does the warranty stand and any idea who i contact

    I hear the touch screen needs to be calibrated for use. Have you tried that?

    When you say it takes a while to start working, what do you mean, exactly? Does the screen have power (is it lit up), or is it that it doesn't respond to touch?

    the screen works fine using the direction pad and the A,B,X,Y buttons straight away it just takes a while for the screen to pick up stylus inputs

    Neither would have been normal, I just wondered which sort of "wrong" it was. In short, no, the touch screen should respond from the moment the initial health and safety screen, which even says "touch screen to continue" appears. Is it still in warranty?

    Yes it was bought in late Nov early DEC 07 from New York by a friend as a Christmas present for my son

    This in a post from the most recent broken hinge thread:
    I'd give Nintendo UK a ring and see what they say. Sounds like they're pretty sympathetic to things going wrong.
