touch screen / game saves

hi guys,
i have had my ds for just under a week and the touch screen has become loose, it clicks when you press it in the bottom right corner. do you think that this warrants a replacement?

also, are games saved onto the game cart or the ds itself?

the small cart size surprised me aswell, thats what made me wonder if they could hold saves or not.

i will root out my receipt (not good i know) and take the ds back tomorrow.

Out of interest does anyone know how much the cartridges hold? Like mb or gb.
