I am considering taking the plunge for a 42" PW7 monitor to complement the rest of my (unfortunately) simplistic AV gear (Sky + and Sony DAVS 888 DVD/AV system). I plan to forego the usual RF input and take the feed straight from SKY+, optical cable and RGB scart into the DAVS888 and have a feed (component) from the monitor to the television (or perhaps via an RGB>VGA interface).
Checked out the advice for newbies thread - just getting my head round it all (sounds like some of you guys could work for NASA!)

Would like to upgrade my kit when time and fundamentally, money allows, though saddled with this kit for now.

Any connecctional advice much appreciated, and keep up the great responses on the forum - always hope for us less well endowed with AV-focussed brain matter.

    Thanks for the advice hornydragon.
From your expert eye, is there any potential issues with lip-sych on the PW& when used with Sky+ and anything that I could do to avoid this flat-screen issue.

    Many thanks again
