Japanese releases of Western Cinema titles on DVD have always been popular with DVD collector's and Total DVD Online brings you the very best in these Rare gems. (And don't forget AV Forums Reviews also feature these DVD's)

So why are Japanese releases so popular?

It's usually because they have DTS soundtracks where UK and US editions simply don't have that option. Further more these soundtracks are usually, but not always, full bitrate editions (1509kbps) where the UK or US discs either don't have DTS or are half rate (768kbps).

Add to the DTS option special packaging, in certain cases superb boxsets (like Kill Bill) and the fact that the discs are limited pressings and you can see why collector's fall over themselves to obtain these DVD's.

So how do you find our reviews?

Simple, just click Here for the UK's largest collection of Japanese DVD reviews, or click on Reviews on the Total DVD Home page and select the Japanese option.

Of course we also want to extend our thanks to Japanese review sponsors CD Japan who supply almost all our Japanese review discs.

I know what you mean! I almost bought Blade DTS from HMV Japan six months ago but when I got to the final stage of checkout the shipping was nearly as much as the DVD! screw that!
