    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone ever has trouble with optical (toslink) connections when used with an optical splitter or switch? I've tried a couple of cheap ones (without their own power supply) and sometimes the audio drops out or does not work at all with some kit. My cable is decent quality I think, undamaged and just a metre long, plus I've tried alternative cables but same problem. So I'm guessing the switch/splitter is somehow degrading the optical signal.

To get around this, I'm thinking of getting a Midiman CO2 instead for about30 quid. It is a powered repeater and has optical and coax outputs which would be fine for my requirements. Does anyone know if it is any good?

    Cheers! :smashin:
