Toshiba TV - Do you need a degree in quantum mechanics to create a favourites list?

I pulled a Toshiba CT 8541 out of a spare bedroom to use temporarily and it refused to download Freeview channels in order, they are over the place. Is there a way to fix this? Second, to try and circumvent this I decided to create a favourites list from the on screen manual instructions. What a palaver. Nothing works and its very confusing any way. Anyone know about dis?

Some TVs allow you change the Freeview channel order - the automatic options are usually alphabetical or numerical and you can also sometimes arrange them manually.

All the TVs I've ever owned default to numerical though, as that's the usual order most people would prefer.

I would try looking for re-order options in the EPG (sometimes using the coloured buttons) or options in or near the tuning menu.

If the TV has a “First Time Installation” option in the setup/tuning menu pick that.
