I recently bought a Hitachi 42PD3000 plasma which is great but I don't have much cash to upgrade my dvd player, a Toshiba SD100 that I have had a few years now? As Leconcepts have the discontinued Tosh 900 still for sale I am seeking advice as to whether it would be a good match for the plasma. I know that as an ALIS panel not much benefit will be had from progressive scan modes but would it be a decent upgrade from the SD100 for 500 quid? I know this player has a decent reputation even though its a few years old now and of course I could make use of component which the SD100 does not have? All advice gratefully received!
