I really want to buy the SD9000, especially since it is so cheap at the moment, but I am concerned that it will become useless because of the RCE thing.

I realise that there is a hack for it at the moment, but I also realise that this isn't always successful especially when trying to access the extra features.

Can anyone with the above model give me their views on this, and how they have dealt with RCE discs.

    Thanks.

I've just bought one and it's excellent, however I can't play hollow man at all, I seem to be able to access a couple of the extras using the press T twice and enter 1 second hack, playing a proper R1 disc first didn't help either.

It's the only RCE disc I've tried and to be honest from what I've heard I'm not missing much but it's still annoying.

Thanks Slingshot, same place that I was looking at.

Don't suppose you know who carries out their mods do you?

It's a fantastic machine, I have had mine for a couple of years now. Mine is region 1, imported from the US as I don't buy R2 discs, perhaps that is something to think about if you don't have a large R2 collection yet.

The problem is that there isn't a modification for the 9000 that enables RCE - at all!

Otherwise I would just get a r2 and get it modified myself.
