Hi all
My Toshiba SD330E and VCR borked the other night when there was a lightning strike nearby. Basically gone dead - tried replacing the fuse in the plug but no go.
So now my home insurer - Direct Line's supplier has offered me the Pioneer DV 370 as an equivalent replacement? Can someone give me real world feedback and how it compares against the Toshiba? I use the player with a Toshiba Picture frame 2 via component video and digital audio. The TV handles DD.
While I believe the Pioneer 370 has got component it has only coaxial digital audio and I am not too sure if I want to miss out on that feature. So if I opt for the Pioneer will I be getting a inferior player in terms of picture quality? That is the most important factor for me in a player.
Also does anyone know of a retailer either online or offline who has a multi-region Toshiba SD330E or 340E in stock? Have looked but not had much luck anywhere - seen a region 2 but thats about it.
All help appreciated.
Cheers
