I need a new DVD player, one that will play pretty much everything thrown at it.

Which would you guys recommend, the Tosh or the Pioneer?

Pioneer has a better rep with recordable media (dvd-r, cdr, vcd/svcd). 330 probably has the edge on pq/sq performance however.

At £99 multiregion I would go with the tosh 330.

My parents have just got one free when they bought the latest Toshiba 36Z?38 tv (what an impressive tv).
And what an impressive dvd player.
It looks great and picture is as sharp as you could want.
The sound is very good aswell.
    Well worth getting.
I'm even thinking of getting one myself now, to replace my ageing Pioneer 717.

The Tosh 330e is the perfect DVD player for my father. He wanted to view his Digital photos, fantastic.

One question. Has anybody ordered from Digital-point before, i'm after a black model (amazon only sell silver) and the price is cheaper here too. Anybody comment on their service ?

Also, I'm presuming that the player has been moded using a CD so the warranty seal hasn't been broken?

    Mark.

Interesting, i'm sitting in the Jewelry Quarter in Bham now. I didn't realise they were in Bham. I might take a trip down to Edgbaston as I go home that way every night. Can you buy from the shop at the same price as the internet ?

BTW, their web site doesn't mention a shop in Edgbaston. Where is it ?

I ordered one over the weekend.
    Can't wait now.
Watched 'Animatrix' using my parents player (Tosh 330) and I couldn't believe how brilliantly sharp the picture was.
    It's worth every penny.
