    had one delivered yestrday from amazon.................it's not too bad!..........only thing is it's black & white when playing region 1 discs.it's for my little girls room but still would like to get it in colour!

    That's down to your TV.

    My R1 discs play in colour just fine.

    Yeah thought it might be m8..............i tried it on the tv in my bedroom,so my little girl wouldn't see it ....see has a goodmans tv so hopefully it will work on that ok!:clap:

    your tv may not be set to auto select video signal(pal or ntsc), check in the set up menu. or if its old it may not be able to deal with ntsc at all
    also double check what signal the player is outputting, in the picture set up menu.

    is it worth upgrading from the 220, Can the 330 handle dvd-rs better than the 220

    My 330 plays DVD-Rs without problem. Can't comment on how it compares to the 220 as I haven't used one.

    does it play the unbranded disc, the ones without writing on them
    the plain(no label) silver dvd-rs

    Yup.

    I have a selection of discs with different dyes, and provided the disc were burnt correctly, then the 330 played them.
