So, where do we get an 'upgrade' disc from?

If this is the same disc upgrade as the 42HK, I have already downloaded that from another site and tried it and it doesn't work on my 44HK?

Is it a different file from the 42HK?

Have you considered clicking on Steve1971's name, and visiting his homepage?

Yep - been to his page and found his 'disc' update details. He is selling the update for £19.99 for disc or download - tho ya can get it FREE on other sites.
It suggests its the same as for other Tosh DVD players (42HK), but as I mentioned - I have tried the one for the 42HK, but it dont work on my 44HK...

OK.
So I paid my £20 for the upgrade disc. Now my system is 'multi-region'.
BUT - it only plays 'other region' dvd's and copied dvd's in BLACK AND WHITE !!!
So, my advice if you want your player to be multi-region -
Buy a new one - a cheapo thing and plug it into the one ya got (amazon do one for £24.99 delivered) - cos there is no way I am buyin any more TOSHIBA!!!
