A local emporium (in Spain) is selling this model cheap. Quite good spec shown on the box. But I can find no reference to this model on any of the Toshiba websites.
It looks good for my purposes (occasional use when on hols).
Anybody shed a clue as to how it might compare with the 240/340?

Responding to my own question here, I know, but here goes...
All searches I have tried return French or Spanish web pages but there's no reference to the SD-245E on either the French or Spanish Toshiba sites.
Anyway, it seems like a well-specified budget player.
Would anybody care to suggest the probability of the SD-220E multi-region firmware upgrade working on this one?

As I recall I bought my in-laws a Toshiba SD241E for Xmas. This was advertised as exclusive to Currys (or was it Comet?), but seemed to me to be an SD240E rebadged. That might be what your SD245E is. Check the specs of the 240 and see if they match.
