Are they a reputable dealer?

Thanks for you feedback ;)

(Looking to buy one of 'em PDQ)
Well, Kevenh, I can tell you that this model of DVD is available with or with out the multi region offer.

You'd better check which type is being sold here.
Soz! Can't help you with your other queries
Shame on you DVD hardware forum regulars. What's the matter with you? Can't you help this guy?

I wouldn't class myself as a DVD Hardware reg but nevertheless, this is the first time I've seen this thread so took a look at your links Kevin.

I've had no dealings with Nomatica and have not heard of them until you mentioned them here. I would have no reason to assume they aren't reputable though as their website seems to be well-done, informative and offers secure cc facilities. There is also a UK postal address with fax/phone number etc... and they are recommended by Kelkoo.

£127.84 (standard shipping) seems like a great price for this model. Even after choosing FEDEX shipping (at £16.10), the total price only comes to £132.80. One thing I don't like though is the fact they state an "estimated delay" on this model of more than 10 days. I would be wary about delivery times/stock situation because they are being very vague here. A quick email to check on availability would be recommended.

As for whether of not it is Multi-Region, I would assume not because Nomatica are selling European/UK only players as far as I can see. No mention of multi-region usually means it's not included. The Tosh cannot be handset hacked so you would need to install a chip if you decide to go for it. Expect to pay upwards of £50 for this service.

So, at the end of the day you'll have forked out more after the upgrade if a multi-region machine is what you're after. My advice is to buy a multi-region machine out of the box from the likes of for £149.99 with free delivery (UK).

Hope this helps.

why not get a multi-region SD220-E from RICHERSOUNDS, the web price is £134.95. if you print off the web advert and take it into the shop then they will match the price. at least they did with me.
Thanks for the feedback!

I'm a Tosh 220 owner!

Bought from (no stock at richersounds at the time :( )

And it has 1.5 firmware that I saw was important from other threads.
