I've had a Toshiba 2109 for a couple of years now, and am about to completely upgrade my hi-fi setup. Is there any advantage whatsoever in upgrading the DVD player too?

    Howdy

I've just got a home cinea system (amp, speakers, tv) but im still with my trusty 2109 player, pic quality on this model is still outstanding. Only thing is mine is an early variant of the model and does not have component out, still its only minor quabble.

Basically No, unless you want more features. The 2109 is a star of a player. Just enjoy.
