Toshiba Regza 32" 32AV504DB has a 20,000:1 contrast ratio

Isn't this incredibly high for an LCD, I thought only plasma TV's done the ratio that high.

How much difference would a contrast ratio that high make to the TV's picture quality? And also, how come it's so cheap in price for the TV with such high spec's?

The Contrast ratio quoted is 'Dynamic', not static. The static will be MUCH lower. Manufacturers confuse customers with such figures, because that ratio is not what you'll be experiencing in a normal viewing environment.

The new Toshibas are incredibly cheap for some reason, cant figure out why though.
