I've checked previous post but couldn't find anything, so can someone help, I just bought a Tosh RD-XS34 and am trying to record a camcorder movie I made through the S video onto the HDD but every time I try I get a message saying that the movie is copy protected and then it recorder shuts down.
    Thx

Is it a Sony Camcorder? Sounds like you may be seeing this issue:

If it is a DV camcorder, use a Firewire cable - you'll get better quality and won't see this problem. If it is an analogue camcorder and you need to use S-Video, then you need to contact Toshiba and try and get it repaired...

yes you are correct it is a Sony DV camcorder, I've now ordered a firewire cable to cure the problem.
