Toshiba RD-XS32 or Sony RDR-HX510

I am a complete newbie with DVD recorders. I have a multi-region DVD player so that is okay, I want the DVD recorder to only tape stuff once, edit it and then delete it (from Sky), and to take the place of my VCR for most things. I've read as much as poss. (don't necessarily understand all of it but hey ...) but can't make up my mind between the two. I know the Tosh. has been superceded by the XS34 but it's the 32 I can have or the Sony and don't feel as though I really know enough about what I am buying to make an informed choice.

Any help/advice will be hugely appreciated.
