    Hi all,

Got my Toshiba RD-XS32 today and the first thing I did was play a DVD (Gladiator) problem is that every now and then the audio skips like it can not read the disk. The disk played fine in my old player, does anyone know what is going on?

    Thanks Greame

Just tried another disk and the same thing happened , played fine for a bit then the player had trouble reading the disk causing the sound to skip.

There are a few threads about this place mentioning this exact problem - most peeps have been able to get their recorders exchanged under guarantee.

Got my RDXS32 2 weeks ago and had the same problem. My retailer exchanged no problem and the replacement works fine. I did get them to hook it up and put on a dvd to check before leaving the store though :D

I think on reading that it implies you have the problem straight out the box, 'phil' not having tried any pre recorded dvd's previously.. so we should be safe....now wheres a piece of wood
