Quick question.
I've just bought a new Toshiba dvd player which plays progressive scan through component outputs. The way it's worded in the manual is..''will display progressive scan picture when connected to t.v. equipped with progressive scan'' & it seems to work. My t.v. is a Samsung LE37A457C1D LCD screen. Is this as they say a ''progressive scan t.v.'' am I right in thinking that if it wasn't then I would be watching a very distorted image?

Many thanks.

All LCDs support progressive scan. If the signal is interlaced it has to be converted first before the picture can be displayed.
