When my (Sony) FS76U kept breaking down the store offered to replace it,i looked at the Panasonic PD30,the Toshiba and then the Sony HQ100. I've now got an HQ100!! The picture is AMAZING,VERY clear, excellent colours and geometry,i know which on i'd go for!!

Panasonic E50 DVD-R,Panasonic surround sound(cheap) Pioneer Freeview and Panasonic S-VHS VCR. Don't believe everything you here about the picture processing, yes there is some break up at times and halo effect but it's not that bad,you can turn it off too! Football-not watched any TBH but i can't see it causing a problem, the FS76U handled it easily enough and this TV has the same digital processing if you select it......

Yep 5 remotes!! lol,the Sony remote can be programmed to do most functions-i just leave them all there for reference!! Talking of remotes, even the remote for the HQ100 is a work of art-very heavy and feels like aluminium!! Easy to use and great design-just like the TV and stand. To convince you further-i thought the picture on the FS76U was good for a 36"-the HQ100 beats it on every issue, even the inbuilt sound is great! My advice would be to get a demo in a proper demo room-the contrast and brightness tends to be too high on normal shop demo machines which spoil the picture, set the HQ100 up and you will be VERY happy! I know i am.......

Good to hear that you are pleased with your purchase! If you turn off this Advanced Motion setting does the TV still retain a high quality picture? Just no artefacts?
Might follow your advice and see if I can get a demo somewhere...

Just been watching some foorball,no problems at all (even in digital motion plus mode) The picture is great in either mode, artifacts only appear when large junks of the picture are moving quickly,it really isn't that bad......i read somewhere that the picture breaks up really badly with Black & White pictures, was watching UK History today and Black & White pictures were fine :)
