TOSHIBA HDEP10: Can I stream movies etc through it?

As the title says, Ive read it comes with ethernet ports so does that mean I can stream films from my computer through it?

And is it just standard quality using Windows Media Player/VLC player or HD Films?

Not looked into the new machines too much, but unless I have missed something pretty big the answer would be no.

The Ethernet port is for Firmware updates and Web enabled content (just been playing around with Heroes HD set - pretty cool!) only at the moment.

The ethernet port is from connecting to the Net for updates and some interactive stuff so far. You can't browse the net to find streaming content. Neither would it likely be in a format the player can understand.

Have you thought that maybe the HD DVD forum might prefer it if you bought their disks instead?

Anyway you could try an X-box or PS3 that is going to be streaming video I think.
