Hi all need a little help i finally replaced my home cinema amp so i can listen to the hd audio formats the reciever i have is a SONY STRDA2400ES it works fine with my blu-ray player but i can only seem to get linear LPCM via the Tosh. I know this is a old format now and the manual does state it isnt compatible with dts hd master so i assume you would get linear LPCM but i though it would output treuhd etc. In the Tosh menue you only get 2 options for hdmi audio..AUTO and PCM i have left it on auto is that correct ?
Any help appreciated

im pretty sure the ep-10 will only send LPCM via HDMI,as all the decoding is done in the player.youll need a XE1 or an EP-35 to pass the raw bitstream for your amp to do the decoding. It wont do DTS-HD/MA at all,the player will extract the DTS core and send that, although it will be the full fat 1.5mbs.
Auto is the correct setting for HDMI

That explains it then..its only hdmi 1.2

Thanks for the help
