Toshiba HD-E1 internet connection

Can anybody give me guidance on using this players internet connection?

I have tried it with my NTL broadband with an ethernet cable between the player and the cable box and it cannot find the server.

Any advice? Do I need a router? I use an Airport express to provide a wireless network. Could I use a wireless bridge with the Toshiba? If so what kit would you recommend?

It should work on your broadband, I would have thought.

Have you been into the settings on the HD-E1 and configured the internet access stuff (DHCP etc. as I recall)?

Yes, I had a go with both DHCP and DNS set to 'on' and clicked on 'confirm' and then 'ok' but when I went to upgrade the firmware from 1.2 it came up with the 'cannot find server' message

Could be a problem Toshibas end with their server - try again after a while.
