    Hi There,

Just bought a Toshiba DVR20KB. but having a problem.

I cant seem to get the "General Settings" screen to come up on the screen.

I CAN watch a DVD , I CAN watch a Video, so I feel that I am tuned in correctly as I am getting pictures comin from the DVD player to my television"

But I cant get this "General Settings" up on the screen, which you need to do most of the important functions on this Recorder.

The Instructions talk of a "stop mode", what is this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

Stop mode means ensure that there is no disc playing (or recording) while you try to enter the Setup menu. The best bit is to eject any disc at all from the machine first.

It is possible that the TV is dropping the HDMI connection in certain modes, so if you want to be certain of seeing the output of the unit under all conditions, manually select the appropriate HDMI input on the TV using the TV's input selector.
