Toshiba DVD Player : Macovision of ?

    Hi,

    I wonder if we are able to switch of the macrovision on Toshiba DVD palyer (like the new SD 220 for example) ;)

    Not sure if Macro can be switched off in the service menu but chipping can certainly get rid of it, just depends on the type of mod. Some software-only mods don't disable macro so be careful when you are looking at players that are offered with this type of mod, just because macro isn't mentioned doesn't mean its been disabled.

    Techtronics can disable macro but theirs is a hardware mod. You might want to think twice about Techtronics as their rep is rock bottom at the moment. There are other suppliers who will do a hardware mod though. Check 'em out.
