I have already started a thread on which DVD Recorder I should buy but I thought I should start a new one regarding a player that I cannot find mentioned in other threads. I have found the Toshiba DR3 on http://www.empiredirect.co.uk for £258.75 and wondered if anybody could give me some advice on whether it is a current model and if it is worth considering.

    Thanks

    Martin.

It's the replacement for the DR1 - looks like it might be a very good recorder now they have added the crucial RGB input but it won't be widely available for a few months yet.

Would it be worth waiting for this model to be released before I decide which DVD Recorder to buy?

Depends how good it is! Until we see a review or get a hands then who knows? There are new Sony, Toshiba and Samsung models due in the next few months. If you opt to wait for them then by the time they arrive you then may as well wait for the new Panasonics, Pioneers and JVCs....
