i've just bought a Toshiba DR17DT DVD recorder and was wondering if anyone knows the region hack for this machine

Sorry for the delay in answering.
no i havn't found the hack for this machine, it appears that there isn't one. shame. i have now used dvd shrink to make copies of all my region 1 dvds so as i can play them on this machine.

i dont know if you are familiar with dvd shrink, if not you can download it from http://www.esnips.com/doc/94d1e209-484d-40a7-9a86-5669621bd9c3

it is able to bypass the copy protection and make a near perfect region free copy of any dvd from any region

Hello,looking at buying the dr17dt and noticed people cant find a hack for it,found a site claiming to have the hack for £2.75 plus a paypal charge this is at www.alldvdcodes.com also www.superfi.co.uk are selling a refurbished model and stating it is region free,hope this may be of help.
