My matsui gave up the ghost after only 8 weeks and when i returned it they said it was a discontinued model and i could have my money back. It seems to be a common problem with dvdrs. I did read a thread saying you should not stack dvd recorders like a hi fi and even my present dvdr ( alba ) seems to be a bit warm so i have removed my sky box and vcr from its shelf, hope this works as the alba too just recently has been freezing up.
