Does anyone have this player? Is it as good as all the reviews say and is there any problems I should know of as I have ordered one which should arrive in 7 days,I previously have owned in order a Panasonic a350 ( faulty lazer),Sony 725 ( brilliant player) a Sony 7700 (good audio,no features poor layer changes) this is my final change of trim my wife will kill me if she realized how much money I have spent in all.All your thoughts would be very helpful thanks everyone.

I have heard this player is great as well. I noticed that it is now available from Techtronics with both automatic and manual multi-region selection as well as full RCE compatibility. But before I take the plunge I too would like to hear from someone who has seen this player in action. Please let me know your thoughts on this player.

    Thanks

Well I'll put you all out of your misery.

The SD900e rocks, totally and completely.

I had a Pioneer DV717 with modest equipment and it simply blows it away.

I can't wait to change my TV and speakers now.

You won't be dissapointed, although be careful with Techtronics!

    Damian. :)

Apologies Damien but where did you get yours and any chance of some more detail regarding it's performance. Much appreciated.

    Thanks,

My friend has this player. Lucky Git! I'd love to buy it but its way out of my Price Range. The Players performance is fantastic and it looks great aswell. Anyone want to buy me one? :D

I got mine from Sevenoaks Hifi.

I'm not sure who modifies them but I'm getting a Region 2 one as it will not play RCE discs and the extra mod is a chargable upgrade.

Still the pictures are fantastic. They look more natural and the colours are more vivid.

Blocking noise seems reduced on poor quality masters.

CD's are now great and much more dynamic (maybe a little bit too much). The drive is silent in comparision to the Pioneer and trick play and lip sync are spot on.

Only the layer change remains more or less the same.

I think its great, if you have any doubts try to get a demo.

    Hope this helps,

    Damian. ;)
