Ive had my player for about a year now and listen to cd's via the analogue phonos, in the audio menu i have bitstream selected, ive just realised (correct me if im wrong) that because i have bitstream selected the dvd player has been outputting a bitstream signal down my phono leads to my amp for decoding ?

Do i have to select analogue 2 channel in the audio menu to output an analogue signal via the phono out puts from the dvd ?

Cant believe ive been doing this wrong for so long !!

    jonny,

bitstream only applies to the digital output, not the analogue ones - so you have been fine...

generally use analogue phonos for music and digital coax or optical for DVD's

Jasonjo, your probably right, ive re-read the manual and it appears that i dont have to select analogue 2 channel to use the phono leads.
