I've just bought a multiregion Toshiba 520 from Richer Sounds to replace my old Toshiba 2109 (really only because I wanted something that would play back DVD-R and DVD+RW).

I'm using RGB mode to connect to my Sony TV (a KD32DX40) and when I tried experimenting with the Picture Settings menu on the 520 I found that if I altered contrast or saturation I could see a visible difference but if I altered brightness I could not. When I switched the player over to using composite mode instead I could see a difference when I changed brightness.

Can anyone else with a 520 see a difference in RGB mode when they alter brightness? It might just be the way it's implemented but I'd rather make sure in case it's something specific to the Richer Sounds mod. The Picture Settings menu on the 520 is accessed from the "Navi Menu".
