    Hi,

A friend is looking for a plasma screen. I've seen the Tosh 42WP46B for around £1600 and this looks to be the muts nuts, but I've not read any reviews on it yet. Has anyone seen one of these in use yet or know if they are as good as they look ? She wants to watch Angel on video (yes that old tape stuff) on it

    Cheers

The 42WP46 is the top of the range model of LCD screen from Toshiba.

This model is the best that toshiba currently do!

You will not get a better tv than this one!

If you want to know any specific specification on this model or any other toshiba model please let me know and I will tell you everything you need!

LCD  This is a plasma screen (if it were LCD I'd sell my PD3000 plasma and get one). Have you not confused this with another model ?

    Cheers

I was also interested in this Plasma...no point is spending £1600 on something that will not cut the mustard.

Definately need more info, connections, is there a tuner box?

I have a Tosh DVD player connected to my Tosh Pictureframe TV via Component.

Don't want to invest in a heap of new interconnects.

We have just taken one into stock and it's not bad. As far as i'm aware it use's an older panasonic panel so there is potential - contrast and black levels are pretty good. The price does give the game away though. The calibration for the screen is very basic, enough for a simple set-up, but it lacks custom colour temp along with other important controls.
But hell for £1999.95 (our price - and I know it can be got cheaper) it's not bad at all.
However angel on VHS will look awful on anything....
For those looking for a plasma that functions just like a CRT in use then this is a good choice - but it's a long way from the best on the market.

Would you say it's the best in that price bracket (1500-20000) ? The lass who wants a plasma is after easy connectivity so scart is needed, otherwise I'd have suggested a panasonic with video board. Only other one I can think of is a LG RZ42PX11 but not seen any reviews on the model.

Anyone have any suggestions for a 42" plasma with scarts ?
