Surely this can't be the correct price? It seems far too cheap. I've ordered one as I've been umming an ahing for ages about getting a plasma and I just can't turn down such a good price.

I think it's just the display with no extras so please can someone advise me of what (and where from) I need to buy? I need a stand as I have nowhere to wallmount it. Devices to connect to it, DVD player, cable box and VCR.

    TIA.

I presume it's still possible to place an order at this price and receive one when they get some in though ? Sounds like an incredible bargain . . . has anyone spoken to PRC in terms of what comes with the screen etc ? Does the Tosh support prog scan and component video in direct to the panel ?

Right, but what does the Panny have then ??? I've checked the Panny / Tosh websites, and they now only have the specs for the new series 5 models. If anyone as a link to a full spec (pdf manual ?) for the series 4 that would be great.

MontyUK - You can get it from here but as it is about a 30Meg file, use something like GoZilla to DL if you have not got broadband.

Be extreamly careful if you are ever tempted to go into Engineer Service Menu.

I think it is very unlikely you'll be able to get a Panny/Tosh "4 Series" now -- I called PRC too as at that price I would have snapped one up. I'm not convinced personally from their response that they ever had any at that price - it's amazing how great some of the advertised prices get when they're not available!
If you do manage to find one at that price please let me know as I'll be second in the queue!

If you search for the Panny 4/Tosh 16 you'll find more than enough info to satisfy your thirst for info on it!
From everything I've read I think I'd personally rather have the old Panny than the new one as I seem to notice flicker a lot - I can't remember which one seems worse for noise offhand (another thing that would drive me nuts if I'd spent £2-£3K!...

PRC called me today to say they do not have any in stock and are not sure when they will. To be honest I don't expect them to have anymore especially at that price. The next cheapest I could find for this model was over 3k.

It's a shame if they don't have any more stock as otherwise I will have to get a "cheap" plasma like the 2.2k samsung at richersounds.

Just got off the phone from PRC. The price on the website was incorrect...it has been ammended to 3.6K!...needless to say my order is now cancelled! :(

The website has now been updated.

Ah well back to looking at LG's and Sammy's I guess
