Currys have some Toshiba 42WH38B Projector TV's in stock.

    here

The only problem is I haven't seen them advertised or reviewed by anyone.

It seems to have it all, 42" screen, 100 hz scanning, Dolby 5.1 external speakers, all for £999

Am I missing something oris this a good deal ?

Yes, if I didn't hear anything negative about it I was going to order it tomorrow.
If you could give me a discount code I'd be very grateful.

    Thank you :)

Provided it has component inputs I'm very interested too...

    Thanks,

According to the engineers down Toshiba, these models are just re-housed versions of the older 42wh18/wt29 models.. with minor tweaks.. although they didn't know what the tweaks where... I think someone on these forums confirmed the 42wh38p had component in, but its probably worth checking..

For the price, they seem a bargain, since no-one complained much about the previous 42 versions. obviously if you have the extra money, then the newer 42wh36 has much improved PQ, with full progressive scan (PAL and NTSC)/2 RGB Scarts, but no DD5.1 but then its £1100, not £850...

Thanks for the info Demon. I think I'll stick to my original plan and get a 42WH36 from Comet (I know...but it is £999 with IFC).

    Cheers,
