My sons Toshiba 40L2433D LCD TV seems to be stuck in headphone mode. He normally has speakers connected via the headphone jack, but when he recently disconnected the speakers and changed the setting back to "Internal Speakers" via the menu it seems to make no difference. When he uses the volume buttons on the remote or the actual TV it just says "Headphone Volume" on the bottom of the screen. Can anyone help please?

Try inserting/removing the plug into the headphone socket a few times in case the socket contacts are sticky.
Try unplugging the power plug then plugging back in in case it's a software issue.

Thanks, I'll give them a try

Also check the jack plug on the speakers that were removed as I have seen them before where the tip at the end breaks off inside the socket
