Toshiba 3387db service menu?

    Hi,ive had this TV for a few months and there is too much red in the picture,everyones faces are like stawberries,i dont think there is anything wrong as such,just the Red level is too high,is there anyway to access the service menu so i can reduce the red level?

    oh dear lets hope your tv isn't suffering a very common toshiba fault. One of the major return reasons for long term owned sets (2-5 years) is an ever increasing redness to the picutre. The fix is a new tube and most warrentys would replace the set rather than fix it.

    Reducing the RCUT to a lower value will solve the problem immediatly, but if the red continues to increase within a couple of weeks, then get a call out whilst you are under warrenty. If this is happening then the set is knackered.

    To adjust the RCUT, press and release mute on the remote, then press and hold down mute on the remote. Whilst holding mute down, press menu on the front of the tv. This enters the service menu.

    Channel up/down changes the option. Volume +/- adjusts the value. Find RCUT and lower the value.
