Toshiba 330 help

    Ive bought a Tosh SD 330E dvd player, I tried to play DVD+RW ,DVD-RW and DVD+R, but non of them work it says check disc disc error, the only disc that will play is dvd-r but Ive bought about 30 DVD+R discs is there anything I can do to make them play. i thought the tosh player would play anything,Thanks

    Try DVD-R's with Ritek Dye, they will probably work.. even my 1st gen playback DVD-R's.

    +R and +/- RW's have less chance of working (on most players)

    Strangely, my old Samsung 709 plays +R disks.

    Ritek disks do seem to be more compatable from my experience too.

    Maybe the Samsung uses a PC DVD-ROM drive? perhaps that's why it reads +'s.

    I was just reading the thread about the Mustek DVD player where the owner swapped the internal player with a pc one.

    I'll have a look at what's inside. :)
