Toshiba 32zp38b

Can anyone tell me if the 32zp38b can be used without the stand, and also if you have to use the external speakers? This may sound a bit daft but I am tight on space, therefore this tv is the only 32 inch that will fit! Also I dont really want to wreck the living room trying to hide speaker cables. If that fails can anyone recommend a narrow design 32 inch altenative? Thanks.

I've seen one resting on a box (minus stand) in currys, so dont think you need the stand. And you definetly dont have to have the external speakers plugged in. The built-in ones work fine on their own (in stereo)

I have one and haven't used the stand. It's sits fine on my other unit.

There are threads on this. But from what i can see, the main one (with the 32") is the picture being tilted sometimes - i've seen a goodun and a baddun in Currys. Apparently it is fixable by an engineer with a special tool from Toshiba. The 36" has an onscreen adjustment for this - lord only knows why they didnt do it with the 32.

I've ordered the 32" myself from JL (when they get them in at Sheffield).

how much are you paying? Did you get a price match?

They cant/wont pricematch till they (JL) get them in stock (towards end of this month apparently) - whats betting TD are out of stock when JL ARE in stock

Anyway, the price at TD (sorry - Total Digital) is £1049 inc delivery. They've took all the details, so its the waiting game now.

lol!!! Fair enough! Are you price matching it with TD then?

If so, what details did you give them as I have heard that some people have had problems with JL and pricematching that company

what details did you give them

just those they asked for - name/address/phone number/price inc delivery/if they have a shop etc.

I think the problem has been for people living in Scotland - TD dont deliver there? (i might have this wrong). But i've read so many posts of successful pricematch's with TD, i am very hopeful.

Deansimm & Sami

Try Barker & Wigfall in Doncaster itself- in stock (when I got mine anyway). They would very nearly pricematch internet prices, but also delivered & set it up for me.

Got a call from JL Sheffield today, informing me that they now have them in stock and will pricematch TD for £1049

Keeping my name on one for a week, as i've got to sort a few things out first.
