I'm in the middle of saving some cash to buy the Tosh 32ZP38B. But a guy in john lewis told my g/f that the 32" telly has now been discontinued and the 36" will also soon be gone! Is this true? or was the guy just trying to force a sale along? If is it being discontinued, do you know if its being superseeded by a new/ bettter model?? Ta
I have heard the same from a few retailers. I can't remember but it may have been a rep at Krish AV who said that the Picture Frame 3 will be out end of June. Other than that, that's all the info i have.
I was told the same by a dealer, who proceeded to show me a picture of the new 36" picture frame 3 TV - I think it's probably the same, but the styling is different. Gone is the black surround, to be replaced by grey/silver. It's now grey/silver on black, rather than black on grey/silver...if that makes any sense. Looked nice in the pics
One of the magazines, sorry don't remember which, had a picture of the replacement. It said end of June availability and the model designation is 3xZP48. 32" and 36" are to be available. It had a more conventional stand and had lost the black surround replacing it with a silver finish.
I'm interested in the Picture Frame 3, if you can remember which magazine you saw it in, please post it here. Thanks
Is this an update on the ZP38 or a restyle. Both my previous ZP38's had a vertical bar down the center of the screen, the dealer assured me this was a feature of the DVD player!
Does anyone know if the picture frame 3 version will ship with pro-logic 2?? Thanks for all the info.
Found this a while back when I was looking, the PF2 had been out for quite a while so I fugured the replacement must be soon. PF1 was called zp18, PF2 zp38 so I just did a google on zp58, Im guessing this is what well get next. http://www.toshiba.co.jp/product/tv/product/wide/32zp58.htm
That's not it, the PF3 looks almost identical to the PF2 in the picture I saw, except for the colour.
If this is the PF3, then the difference seems to be that Toshiba have gone the Philips/Panasonic/JVC route and are now adding a resolution enhancing technology. "Active Vision - High defination Pixel Process - Advanced 100Hz - Progressive scan" Other than that it retains the styling of the ZP38 with a silver instead of black border.
