There are some excellent threads on this forum which are worth looking at.

The 32ZP18P doesn't actually need much tweaking. I only modified the HPOS for NTSC a little. The rest was fine.

Digital co-ax or digital optical will carry the audio fine. There is no difference between the two.

......oh and Brod, don't read any more ZP problem threads. If you;re happy don;t go looking to see if you've got the problems.

This is a stunning TV and it's great that you're happy with it, enjoy..........

    Cheers

As the others say. you will find that the picture is pretty good out of the box but there are a couple of things worth mentioning.

You will notice there are 3 picture modes.

The first one 'mode 1' is for shop display purposes with everything set up to maximum colour/ brightness etc.

Apparently, the best thing is to select 'mode 3' which has some of the digital processing switched off and then adjust from there.

I have seen people post their settings here for this set, but it is really a personal thing so play about with the settings as you can always go back to mode 1,2 and 3 and start again.

I think tosh tv's are great for pic quality, cant understand why others have problems, when i'v only ever owned them, dvd playback is excellent, try these settings, see if they enhance your viewing.

Try this setting it seems to work for me on my 32zd09b

    Contrast and colour between 40 & 46
    Brightness between 50 & 60
    sharpness below halfway
    noisr reduction off
    scan set at 100

    Hope it helps

NB at least us Tosh owners can experinence component video!

At last a thread that has positive things to say about thisTosh.
I have had this set (36ZP18)for some time now and am still impressed with the stunning pictures that this set can produce.
Just watched The Mummy Returns via component, pin sharp and solid colours.
    ENJOY!!
