    Hi.

I know this has been covered in previous threads but I want to make it 'black+white' for thick people like me!

Everyone who care knows the problems tosh had with early versions of this set.........but have the latest models been sorted?

If you get the option on the set to select PC AND YUV and your set comes with the piece of paper outlining how to connect Component devices to the VGA port on the TV.....does that mean this is the latest version and that all component gear will work through the PC-IN?

Please can all owners of this set reply to this thread so we can sort the fact from the fiction.

    Thanks peeps

My set was replaced on Thursday and has an insert in the manual. I have my DVD connected with a component(YUV) to VGA cable and all is well. I can receive both interlaced and progressive scan via this input.

    Cable, £18.99 for 1.5m, was from -

When Home Cinema Choice reviewed the set recently Toshiba supplied it with an IXOS cable but this is not on sale at the moment but will be available within a couple of months.

ok mate seems like a good deal.

So.......is there any happy 'WL56' owners out there? Has anyone other than grot shot managed to get the component working through VGA?

Seems a shame they didnt put a dedicated component socket into this set as this would of made the TV probably the best LCD under the £900 mark. The least they should of done was bundle the tv with a vga/yuv cable. Then again.....if the component signal works fine through VGA now then it is still a bargain........the new 'WLT58' is going to be the same panel but with IDTV, 2XHDMI, and a component socket........and about £250 more.
