Hi, I've got a brand new Toshiba 32WL48 LCD HD-ready TV which is connected to a Pioneer DV-668AV-s DVD player by an HDMI cable. When watching DVDs the signal is wonderfully crisp and sharp, but every now and again the screen will blank for a second or so and then return to normal. The audio continues to play as normal via an optical connection to my amp, so it doesn't seem to be a glitch in the player's drive. The problem occurs on any disk I play. I've tried connecting the DVD player to the screen through SCART and the glitches don't occur. I've also taken the DVD player and cable to a friend's house and tried them with his Pioneer plasma - no glitches. So has anyone seen anything similar? Is it a problem with the player, the cable or the screen and is there a fix? I'd hate to have to lose my screen after waiting 2 1/2 months to get it. I first noticed it about an hour into Apollo 13, then it reappeared every five minutes or so. Could it be a heat issue? (The whole lot is on an open cabinet with lots of ventilation) Sorry if this is a common question, I did a search and found nothing, but if it has been asked before just point me to the answer. Many thanks, Mike.
