I have just bought a Sony XL301 pc and last night attempted to connect it to my new Toshiba tv.

The setup seemed to be easy, with a hdmi cable connecting the pc to the tv.

Although the pc appeared to start okay, I cannot see anything on the tv!

I am assuming (and hoping) that the answer is absurdly easy but I would appreciate any comments.................

    Thanks, Paul

You have to go into the graphics options in your PC and tell it to use the TV as a secondary screen.

    1. Right click on the desktop and select "properties"
    2. Click the "settings" tab
    3. Click on the box with a 2 in it and select the box that says "extend my windows desktop on this monitor"

Some PC have a different way of doing this depending on the graphics hardware, but the principle is the same. After these steps is a case of changing the resolution to match the TV, which is 1366x768 in your case, although it should be able to accept 1920x1080 over HDMI. The exact way to do this is hardware specific, and i haven't much experience with sony PCs
