    Hello,
I am having a problem when watching dvs at the moment, my dvd player is a pioneer 606d region 1 player chipped for multiregion.
As i am watching dvds i seem to get a high pitched sound coming from my tv.
I am running it svhs through the 3rd av channel, when i get this sound if i switch over to tv on freeview or use my ps2 i get no high pitched sound.
I tried removing the leads when i hear this sound and oddly it only goes when i remove the svhs lead not the audio leads.
I ran it composite on another av channel using the ps2 adapter and i still got the sound.
I think it happens mainly on ntsc discs but i cant be sure of that.
So my question is, is it my tv or dvd player?

    cheers

    liam
