On my Toshiba 28ZO7B there are 5 picture modes....4.3, super live, cinema, subtitle and wide.

When playing back some older videos the screen changes to 14.9.
Can anyone please explain why this happens as i had 14.9 on my last tv and found it quite useful.

Is there any way this mode can be accessed from a menu or something as the tv can show this mode ok.

    Thanx

Strange, on my 32ZD09B there's 14:9 in the list as well as all the ones you have. Can't be cost cutting surely, can it?

The older Tosh models didn't have a 14:9 mode. This appeared on the more recent models.

In the What Hi-Fi Review in the October 2001 edition it only mentions the same 5 modes as i've got.

Is the 14:9 mode only available on 32" sets or do i have an older model?.

If so it's going back as i've only had it 2 weeks.

    Nostalgic.

It is of older range and doesn't have the 14:9.
